Celebrate 60 years of Ma'amite monarchy

By: Seamus Waldron Published: 5 April 2012

Marmite, has been given a makeover to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The Royal Marmite makes it the most appropriate kitchen table condiment for people wanting to toast the Queen's 60th year as the longest reigning Marmite monarch Tuesday 5th June.

Ma'amite will be available at all good high street retailers, nationwide – including Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons and Co-op – as well as online at http://www.marmiteshop.co.uk from Monday 30th April. Ma'amite has an RRP of £2.72 – so grab it while stocks last and don't forget to get extras as we now know that these things don't get made for a second run.

Update, 2024: The full Ma'amite story, including how the 300,000 jars produced have become genuinely collectible, is at Ma'amite, the Diamond Jubilee Marmite.
